Hamad Ambulance Service, Doha, Qatar

Hamad Ambulance Services is the national ambulance service provider for Qatar in the Middle East. The leadership of the ambulance service is building a world-class ambulance system in a diverse and rapidly growing global destination. Our multi-year collaboration involved a portfolio of work, including supporting the senior leadership team in pursuing quality as an organizational strategy, advising the consultant paramedic leads in developing evidence-based clinical care pathways for time-sensitive conditions, building the capability of leaders and staff in improvement methods, and developing the first prehospital patient safety trigger tool. Our work was featured at the Middle East Forum on Quality and Patient Safety, several international ambulance publications, and resulted in two peer-reviewed journal papers.
